Valley Children’s Hospital
Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera provides a year-long Transition to Practice program for nurses beginning pediatric practice. Participants join quarterly cohorts and attend monthly education that combines presentations, immersive learning, skills practice and simulation. Social-work debriefing and support from educators, preceptors and leaders accompany the clinical transition. Training is adapted to the hospital unit, and ordinary unit orientation remains part of the supported transition.
